Interventions for Safe Families Program Assistant

Lutheran Community Services Northwest (LCSNW), McMinnville Office, is currently seeking a part-time Interventions for Safe Families Program Assistant to assist the Program Manager to execute the administrative and support functions of the department. In addition, they will assist in scheduling DHS Child Welfare Family Decision and Child Safety Meetings for the LCSNW Meeting Facilitator.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain and update databases used by various programs
• Track and record client, volunteer, and staff data as needed
• Assist Program Manager with program improvement projects
• Assist others in organizing Safe Families for Children events
• Create files and program documentation; assist with purchasing of staff and client supplies
• Make frequent calls, follow-up on emails, and faxes to community partners as needed
• Keep up-to-date on a community resources binder and staff bulletin boards
• Ability to establish a safe and trusting relationship with families and ensure they are positively focused
• Arrange time and location of frequent facilitation meetings on an ongoing basis
• Maintain client confidentiality

• Must be neat, organized, and accurate
• Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Must be able to work well under pressure, multitask, set priorities, manage time efficiently, and work independently
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to include basic computer skills and e-mail usage
• Have respectful, open, unbiased, and accepting attitude toward clients and their families
• Must be able to work in a multicultural environment
• Requires strict adherence to HIPAA standards in the office workspace to ensure confidentiality
• Must pass a criminal background and/or fingerprinting

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum two years of administrative or office experience required, working with at-risk families within the last five years preferred.
