Graph Research Scientist

Venator Solutions provides tracking software solutions for Military systems in the form of sonar contact followers and tracking and data fusion algorithms leveraging Extended Kalman Filters, Multi-hypothesis Tracking, and cutting edge fusion and inferencing solutions via applications of graphical modeling, Probabilistic Graphical Models (PGMs), and Markov Logic Networks (MLNs).

Venator Solutions is looking for PhD graduates (desired) or highly motivated MS graduates and/or research engineers with experience in graphical modeling, probabilistic reasoning, PGMs, MLNs, Markov Random fields, Bayesian Networks, and other artificial intelligence, probabilistic inferencing, pattern classification, and/or learning algorithms, preferably with applications to autonomous sensing systems.  Thesis work or active research in the above areas of PGMs, intelligent systems, and/or Probabilistic Reasoning & inferencing/learning algorithms is also highly desired.  Experience or coursework in digital signal processing, probability and statistics, detection and estimation theory, and software development are also highly desired (with experience in C, C++, and/or MATLAB also preferred).  Immediate application areas include automated inferencing and reasoning on remote sensing and detection data (including sonar, radar, or similar sensor data), and on external evidence and contextual information.

Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain (and maintain) an active DoD Secret security clearance.

As a small San Diego-based business, Venator provides the opportunity for ALL team members to work on challenging problems and make significant contributions to the innovation of our technologies as part of a close-knit team alongside Subject Matter Experts within a family-like corporate culture.  Venator offers highly competitive salaries, flexible schedules, and competitive benefits.
