Job Description

Youth Pastor

• Lead the Sunday morning Middle School group most Sundays

• Support our existing High School volunteer teachers and occasionally lead the High School group

• At least once a month plan and lead a special middle school group meeting outside of the normal Sunday meetings

• Create lesson plans that meet our philosophy for this age group which is to alternate teaching and small group time which pours into the students with activities in which the middle school students take an active role in teaching younger students through crafts, games, dramas (skits)

• Help to come up with dramas, games and crafts

• Ensure that our Middle School Classes have quality curriculum and teacher resources.

• Write class outlines with a timeline showing time allotted for each activity.  These timelines can involve multiple small groups of middle school and elementary school kids on days that the middle school kids participate in teaching  

Children’s Ministry Coordinator

• Ensure that our 1st – 5th grade School Class has quality curriculum and teacher resources

• Create a quarterly plan that addresses the scope and timeline of lessons

• Write class outlines with a timeline showing time allotted for each activity

General

• Maintain volunteer teacher schedules and relationships and help to build volunteer morale

• Email materials and class outlines to volunteer teachers  

• Weekly planning/oversight meeting

• Work with our volunteer children’s ministry assistant to coordinate crafts and other supplies

Compensation

Competitive salaried position with benefits.  Part to full time position available.
