As our Venue Management Intern, you'll spend the 2019-2020 NBA Season gaining exposure to all aspects of running a successful venue and its events by providing support for the day-to-day operations of the Rose Quarter.

You will work part-time from August 2019-April 2020. This is a paid internship - so expect to see what it takes to operate a venue.

What you'll do:
  • Assisting with department needs, including Operations, Security, Event Services, Parking, Guest Experience, Production, Housekeeping, Entertainment Booking, and Box Office.
  • Helping with each department’s preparation for event day through planning, correspondence, meetings, administrative work, and site reviews and setup assistance.
  • Supporting with event day team member supervision.
  • Assisting with day-to-day departmental operations and support the department head(s), VP & General Manager.
  • Independently leading daily and long term projects.
  • Providing excellent and professional customer and client/promoter service.
  • Maintaining basic CRM data.
  • Job shadowing select departments as assigned.

You are qualified if:
  • You are 18 years of age or older.
  • You are in the process or have recently earned a Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Management or other applicable majors. 
  • You can work part-time, flexible hours that includes nights, weekends and selected holidays.
  • You have prior customer service experience. 
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have internet research skills. 
  • You build and maintain constructive and positive working relationships.
  • You possess excellent written and verbal skills.
  • You are a creative thinker and problem solver.
  • You demonstrate superior organizational skills and can function in a dynamic, multi-task setting.
  • You possess the ability to lift 20-50 lbs.
