Position Summary: GSOSW offers year-round programs to Latina girls at multiple locations throughout Oregon and SW Washington. The Latina Program Assistant provides administrative support to the managers and activity leaders who recruit for, plan and deliver these programs at off-site locations. This position coordinates communication between program sites, program partners, managers and activity leaders, and supports adult and girl participation by communicating with Spanish speaking members.
 
Key Job Duties:
  1. Maintains program documents and files, in paper and electronic formats
  2. Provides administrative support to managers and activity leaders. Ensures documents are created, completed and stored properly.
  3. Supports the hiring process of staff by communicating with applicants and organizing interviews and materials
  4. Coordinates registration and transportation for program activities with our community partners
  5. Accurately maintains spreadsheets and data bases; performs analysis and reporting
  6. Assists with preparations for trainings and meetings
  7. Responsible for purchasing, organizing and distributing program supplies
  8. Works closely with program managers in outreach efforts to the Latino community; occasionally attends community events
  9. Communicates with bilingual staff and Spanish speaking adults verbally and in writing
  10. Actively engages with and participates in GSOSW equity work
 
Position Qualifications:
We are seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) speaker with experience in an office environment, and the ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing. The ideal candidate will have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree, and experience supporting programs for culturally and ethnically diverse populations.  This position requires a detail-oriented person with strong customer service focus and interpersonal skills, and computer proficiency at an intermediate level in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. This position requires effective time management, the ability to organize multiple projects with competing and shifting deadlines, and the ability to assess and assign priority to daily tasks and long-term projects. Working both collaboratively and independently is important.
 
The incumbent must meet the following:
·        Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and some
·        Proof of insurance, a valid driver's license in good standing, and an acceptable driving record
·        Able to view a computer screen for up to two hours at a time and work in a cubicle workstation in a busy office environment
·        Able to lift up to 20 lbs.
·        Accepts the principles of the Girl Scout Movement as expressed in the Girl Scout Promise and Law and registers as a member of the Girl Scouts of the USA.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position offering a minimum salary of $32,171.00 (including $1771 bilingual premium). This position is open until October 19, 2018 at 5pm.
