IDEA Center Graphic Design Intern


Position would be a commitment for fall and spring semesters in the 2018-2019 school year. Compensation consists of credit through an academic department (Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, Cinema/Media).
Responsibilities will likely include:
1. Design posters, flyers, postcards, screens, social media posts, and other print and electronic communications
2. Collaborate with IDEA Center staff and interns to advertise events and programs
3. Recommend most effective methods to reach intended markets
4. Website Management and Updating: includes creating pages and maintaining IDEA Center website
5. Participate in staff development activities.
6. Prepare a final presentation that would articulate skills and experience gained.
Skills you will develop: planning, editing, researching, estimating and appraising, analyzing and evaluating, representing, promoting, speaking, writing, designing, planning and managing projects, record keeping, timing, budgeting, data processing, teamwork, communication, marketing and professional leadership.
Qualifications include computer proficiency to include word processing and graphic design skills, organization with detail orientation, ability to relate to a wide variety of constituents, dependable with projects and time management, ability to use AdobeSuite, able to communicate well verbally and in writing, ability to self regulate in a fast paced environment.
